Thwaites School is extremely proud of the outcome of its Ofsted inspection, which took place on 15 and 16 July 2025.

The inspection recognised the considerable progress made by the school and resulted in the following judgements:

• Personal development – Outstanding

• Leadership and management – Good

• Early Years provision – Good

Inspectors recognised that pupils feel safe within our friendly school community and that staff help them to thrive and enjoy their learning. They described pupils as polite and respectful and praised the school’s exceptional personal-development provision, which ensures that pupils leave Thwaites exceptionally well-prepared for life in modern Britain.

This outcome reflects the dedication, ambition and hard work of our pupils, staff, governors and families. We are particularly proud that personal development was judged to be Outstanding, recognising the extensive opportunities, experiences and support we provide to help every child develop academically, socially and personally.

We will continue to build upon this success as we work to provide the very best education and opportunities for every child at Thwaites School.
