Working hours will be 10 hours per week between 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only).

PCD 3 Salary: £23,151 FTE pro rata, (this includes the Living Wage Supplement).

Hourly rate £12

Thwaites School is seeking to appoint an After-School Club Assistant for our thriving after-school provision.  We are looking for someone who is energetic, passionate and enthusiastic to join our friendly, motivated and supportive team.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who:

• has a passion for working with children.
• is able to lead the day-to-day organisation of the After-School Club.
• is able to create a safe, welcoming and friendly environment delivering high quality creative play opportunities, embracing each child’s individual needs, unique qualities and personalities.
• is able to liaise with the school with regard to the needs of the children who attend the After-School Club.
• is able to provide care, play opportunities and activities in a homely and nurturing environment, with regard to the individual development needs of the children and age ranges of children.
• fully supports inclusive practice and ensures that all children can be involved in the activities offered if they wish.
• is able to consult and liaise with the children and involve them in the planning of activities.

Qualifications required:  NVQ Level 2
